Who cares what I have to say?

There's an interview with me up at Comic Bits Online -- check it out HERE.

We talk about Requiem and A Thousand Faces, among the usual topics.

"Illustrated" Requiem

Joe  and I just finished up a fun, three part "illustrated" version of "Requiem", the titular story in my most recent fiction collection.  We ran it on the Order webpage as a bit of a filler between Issues #2 and #3.  You can check it out here -- it's always fun to see your stories come to life.  I particularly liked the illustration for part 2 of the story, as Byron visits the Talley family with some bad news.

You can check it out HERE.

Interview is Up

The promised interview with yours truly is now up over at Podworld.

Read all about my thoughts on POD publishing in general, and Requiem in particular.

Podworld

Got an email this week from Podworld, a new website looking to promote good, quality POD / self-published books.  They asked if I would be interested in providing any content on Requiem.  I was happy to do so, and two of the stories from the book -- "252" and "Collateral Damage" -- are now available to read in the 2 Chapters section of the site.

(I especially like the fact that one of the genres that they list is "superhero", right there with "thrillers" and "romance".  That makes me happy.)

There will also be an interview with me about the book up at the site later this month.

Holiday Sale

OK, so I stole this idea from an author I ran across on MySpace, but I like it, so I'm using it --

From now until Christmas, Requiem is available for
20% off

the cover price on the Lulu website.  That's only $8 -- click here.

Requiem, the perfect gift for that hard-to-shop-for person on your list.

Looking For a Home

Put together a few packages last night to send out to a few retailers that I feel might be a good fit for Requiem.  I included a copy of the book, a press release with a little information, a copy of Beau Smith's review from last month's CBG, and a flattering letter (I've shopped in each of the stores personally, and found them to be quite nice).   My first three packages are headed to:

Atomic Books -- Baltimore
Chapel Hill Comics -- Chapel Hill
Big Planet Comics -- Bethesda

I have a few more local stores on my list to mail this weekend (I ran out of envelopes) -- if anyone knows of any other stores here in the DC area, or anywhere else, for that matter, that are friendly to small press / independently published books (even on consignment deals), let me know.
